​The hare is rendered with a remarkable sense of depth using layers of merino wool. I have blended various earthy tones—including chocolate brown, tawny tan, cream, and charcoal—to mimic the natural variegation of wild fur.
• ​The Eye: The focal point of the piece is a strikingly realistic, glossy eye. It features a dark pupil surrounded by a warm amber iris, with a tiny white "catchlight" that gives the hare a lifelike, alert expression.
• ​The Ears: The long, upright ears show a beautiful gradient, transitioning from soft cream interiors to dark, almost black tips, a classic characteristic of a European hare.
